I am starting up a business for weddings, parties, anniversaries, you name it. I will specialize in hand made invitations, programs, favors, flowers, decorations, tosses, you name it besides cooking and photography. I am going to be hitting the start up hard, mailing flyers, doing a bridal show in October, but I need a good name! Nothing that is too fru fru, but something cute. HELP!

My husband and I just bought a house. The main section of the back yard is fenced in by a tall brown fence. The yard is rectangle, and the in-ground pool takes up 85% of that space. There is a path of yard about 5 feet wide and 20-25 feet long between the pool and the fence.

Does anyone have any ideas of how to make that grassy space look cute (flowers, yard decorations, etc) without making the space feel cluttered?

I have a spearmint plant indoors. It gets no natural light since I’ve sealed off all my windows with insulated curtains. It is however very happy (or seems to be) under a 15 watt grow light.

Does anyone know how to convince this plant to produce flowers. I know the flowers change the taste of the leaves, but I grow the plant for decoration only. I know that different plants have different ways of determining when to flower based on hours of light and or temp but I don’t know what the spearmint uses to set it’s calender.
Let me also ask for any general tips on growing it. It’s hard to find info specific to spearmint. Peppermint is popular so I’ve gone by that for growing tips. Someone said I should put a rusty nail in the pot to give it extra Iron to facilitate it’s spreading. Is that true?

Just for clarification when I said 15 watt I meant a 15 watt fluorescent tube bulb which I think is equivalent to a 60-70 watt.

I am considering starting my own business. One of the services I want to offer is to show how a room can be transformed like a before and after (i.e. a room for a wedding). I am trying to find the best program so that I can customize the room and show to the customer.

Hi! I am planning a pool blue (tiffany blue) wedding to take place May 1st of this year. I’m just wondering if any of you have had a pool blue wedding. I have a lot of stuff bought for it already, but I’m just looking for some more ideas and inspiration to add to it. It could be from anything to favors, decorations, or flowers. Just curious to see what everyone else is doing with similar colors. Thank you!

How can I make my flowers look more realistic?
I’ve made a few orchids and roses, but they look like decorations not flowers.
I have the wilton kit and I don’t want to hear about how wilton sucks, I just need advice for making the flowers look more realistic.

I am getting married in June, the service is outside with a gazebo, pond w/ a fountain, ect, then the reception is inside (it is at a country club). I am looking for some interesting ideas for decorations, gifts, flower girls and ring bearers (we are having 2 of each b/c they are just too cute). We want to do things differently, not the same traditional wedding you always go to…
