I have a budget f $500 and there will be 6 bridesmaids and groomsmen, so this budget includes about 10 center pieces, 7 bouquets (1 for the bride and 6 for the bridesmaids), corsages and altar piece. What kind of flowers or decoration should I go for with this budget?

I think I forked out about $200 for mine. A lady at church did silk boquets for the cost of the flowers from like a craft store.

Silk flowers off ebay. They are cheap and realistic, I used them for my wedding.

Use candles for the centerpieces.

Fake flowers from a craft store. They are typically silk most of the time and look very realistic.

You can order your flowers from an online vendor. does a series of combo’s that might meet your needs.

I’m going to be doing the flowers for my son and his beloved’s wedding this September and this is the vendor I’m using:

Please know that it takes a LOT of time and work. Buy some local flowers and do a couple of ‘dry runs’ first to work out the kinks. Develop a recipe to do the bouquets. Remember that you’ll need supplies like wire, ribbon, strippers, tape, bout. pins, etc… and DO NOT refrigerate your flowers you can KILL them if you refrigerate your flowers. Remember that you’ll need to order them ahead of time and that you’ll need to ‘condition’ them.

Alstromeria is a great filler and can go a long way towards extending your arrangements Especially the table arrangements. Flowers like carnations and mums are sturdy and inexpensive. Use greenery and filler like babies breath, queen anne’s lace or hypericum berries to stretch your budget.

Walmart has square glass vases for about 2 to 3 each. you can fill with 2 to 3 stems of alstromeria … cheap… they will come in bunches of 10. Add mini carns and 3 roses. You can buy the roses in bunches of 25, so this would give you arrangements from 1 bunch of roses, 2 bunches of carns and 3 bunches of alstromeria. You wouldn’t need much in the way of greenery because the alstromeria has quite a bit.

You can use the mini carns to make the bouts and corsages too. They are easy and hold up really well. You can also use rosemary to make bouts. It’s a nice way to personalize and it’s inexpensive. You can work it into some of the other arrangements.
