My fiancee and I are getting married in May and he has given me a $5000 dollar buget to pay for all of our wedding that includes the rental facility which is already in the amount of $1,550.00. The rest of the money should cover the buffet reception, photography, wedding cake, wedding gown, his tuxedo, our wedding shoes, flowers/wedding decorations and servers to help and clean plus taxes and labor. Need an advice coz I don’t think this amount is not enough to cover everything he wishes me to do.

It can be done but you got screwed on the reception!
go with silk flowers they are alot cheaper, Rent his tux!
Photography is a hard one to fit in there they are REALLY expensive might be easier to get a friend to do this)
get your wedding cake from a local bakery or like sobey’s or walmart
go somewhere that has a bogo (buy one get one half off) sale for shoes
just have to be frugal
use simple candles and holders as centrepieces or a bowl with fish in it not the greatest with the decor
that depends on how many guests
my wedding this past June cost a total of about $9,000
and tat was the cheapest I could do and trust me I did the cheapest for everything, with 103 guests [this # includes the groom and I, and the bridal party-everyone

I just got married on a $5000 budget and had a beautiful wedding with 450 guests. We did not serve a meal, but instead did cake and icecream with a cookie buffet (which is just as expensive as a meal)
We’ve been told by SOOO many people for months afterwards that our wedding was the most beautiful wedding they’ve ever been too.
Be encouraged! When there is a will…there is a way!! It’s all about shopping cheaply!!
